Alternative Components

Alternative Components manufactures a variety of specialty parts for automakers, including General Motors, Toyo Seat and the Chrysler Group. Founded in 1996 with only six employees the Warren, MI-based company understands that consistently meeting the demands of their clients has been the reason for their growth to success.

"If we are late on a deliver to GM or Toyo because of a delay with one of
our vendors, it is an Alternative Components problem," said John Miller, Materials Manager for Alternative Components. "Nobody in our industry tolerates an excuse, including ourselves. This is why we partner with first-rate suppliers who deliver on their promise of quality and timeliness like
T&B Tube."

Alternative Components utilizes the steel tubing manufactured by T&B tube for their automobile and truck seat frames. Since 2000, the two companies have forged a strong partnership based on trust and communication.

"T&B Tube is our best vendor," John said. "Their customer service is terrific. We always know the status of our orders and when deliveries will arrive. When we have to make a change in our order, T&B is able to accommodate us. If there is ever a need for corrective action, they're quick to fix it. We wish every business we dealt with operated like T&B."

Although tube and wire fabrication is the concentration of Alternative Components, their capabilities include prototyping, machine design and engineering. Through their partnerships with vendors like T&B Tube and their commitment to quality manufacturing and on-time product delivery, Alternative Components is certain to continue to meet the demands of the automotive industry.
