AKDQ Tubing Explained
To make AKDQ grade tubing, aluminum is added to molten steel during the alloying process before annealing and tempering. The added aluminum locks up normally occurring oxygen in the form of aluminum oxide. The result is tubing that can be oxy-acetylene or TIG welded without gas bubble formation. Further benefits are:
