Cold Rolled Steel Tubing
Cold rolled steel tubing is created by a process that refers to steel (Hot Rolled) that is pressed with the pressure of a roller at room temperature. Since the process is performed at room temperature, the steel will not shrink as it cools, as it does in the hot-rolled process. The process also creates a finer grain structure which will impart a smoother surface as well as allowing for thinner gauges than you can get with the hot rolling process. Cold rolling also increases the strength and hardness of the finished product. Annealing the coil is done in order to relieve and soften the steel.
